Teaching has always been a passion of mine, and I am excited in 2021 to launch a virtual wine education experience that can be accessed whether you live near or far!
Via the wine shop I manage (Edmund’s Oast Exchange) I am hosting a virtual version of our popular Somm School! It starts Thursday, January 21, and this 10-week version of the series will focus entirely on European wine regions. The classes are perfect for those who are contemplating taking an entry-level wine certification or for anyone looking to enhance their wine aptitude. The classes will be offered weekly from 6 to 7:30 p.m. every Thursday but also recorded to watch at your leisure. The entire series can be purchased at the special rate of $300. This includes one bottle of wine per class and 20% off other featured wines. Classes are stand alone, but many participants sign up for the entire series. If you are not interested in the whole series then individual classes can be purchased for $30/class excluding the Viticulture and Blind Tasting Classes, which cost $40/each due to extra wine expenses.
In addition to wine, participants will also receive detailed handouts with each class. Tickets and a full schedule of classes can be obtained by emailing me sarah@edmundsoast.com or calling the shop 843-990-9449.
Food and beverage industry employees can attend for free (without wine). And they can receive a digital version of class handouts for free. I am all about supporting fellow hospitality workers. There are many folks in this industry who have mentored me out of the sheer goodness of their hearts, and I would love to pay it back!
